Filthy Studios Code of Conduct & Liability Waiver

Filthy Studios is a space built on respect, creativity, and community. Whether you’re here to tie, shoot, create, or connect, we expect everyone to uphold these values. By proceeding with your booking or entry, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Code of Conduct

Respect is Non-Negotiable

  • Treat everyone with kindness, dignity, and respect.
  • No discrimination, harassment, or abusive behavior will be tolerated.
  • Respect people's boundaries—verbal, physical, and emotional.
  • All attendees have the right to have their gender identity and sexuality recognized. Use the pronouns and words of identity others choose. If unsure, politely ask. Intentional misgendering is unacceptable.

Consent is Foundational

  • Always ask before engaging in physical touch, including demonstrations.
  • Stop immediately if someone withdraws consent.
  • If you’re unsure, pause and clarify.
  • Attendance at this event does not imply consent to engage in any contact or activity with others. Consent must be obtained in advance and may be revoked at any time.

Privacy is Paramount

  • Do not photograph or record anyone without their explicit consent.
  • Respect each other’s privacy—some folks aren’t public about every part of their lives, and everyone deserves to share their story on their own terms.

Care for the Space

  • Respect the studio, its equipment, and each other’s belongings.
  • Clean up after yourself and leave the space as you found it.
  • If something breaks or feels unsafe, notify staff immediately.

Prohibited Items & Activities

The following are strictly prohibited at Filthy Studios:

  • NO Alcohol, beverage, and food sales (merchandise sales are permitted).
  • NO Alcohol use during rentals unless explicitly approved by Filthy Studios before booking.
  • NO Drug use – Anyone appearing under the influence of alcohol or drugs may be refused entry or asked to leave.
  • NO Fire, smoke, guns, and any illegal activity.
  • NO Indoor smoking unless explicitly approved by Filthy Studios before booking.
  • NO Nudity, sexually explicit play, or loud play in the backyard.
  • NO Tied-off neck ties – Necks tied off to suspension points or furniture are strictly prohibited.

Accountability Matters

  • If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, contact us directly or submit feedback to info@filthystudios.com.
  • Failure to follow these guidelines may result in immediate expulsion from the event or rental without a refund.
  • Filthy Studios reserves the right to cancel future bookings if reports indicate behavior that violates community values.
  • For private rentals, the person renting the space is responsible for ensuring that all attendees, staff, guests, and volunteers comply with this Code of Conduct and are 21+. The renter must verify the IDs of all participants before allowing entry.
  • The renter assumes full responsibility for the actions of all individuals they bring into the space and is liable for any damages, violations, or misconduct by their attendees.

2. Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability

By attending an event or renting space at Filthy Studios, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Voluntary Participation & Risk Awareness

  • My participation in activities at Filthy Studios is entirely voluntary.
  • I understand that BDSM-related activities—including but not limited to rope bondage, physical restraint, impact play, and power exchange—involve inherent risks of physical injury, emotional distress, or equipment failure.
  • I am responsible for assessing these risks and participating only with fully informed consent.

Safeword & Consent

  • The house safeword for all activities is "RED." Calling "RED" means all activity must stop immediately or as safely as possible.
  • Consent may be withdrawn at any time, and all activity must stop immediately if revoked.

Release of Liability & Indemnification

  • I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my attendance and participation at Filthy Studios.
  • I agree to hold harmless Filthy Studios, FTBS Media LLC, its employees, and associates from any liability, claim, or demand arising from my participation.
  • This waiver applies only to claims arising from ordinary negligence and does not cover gross negligence, willful misconduct, or unlawful acts as defined by California law.

3. Legal Protections and Acknowledgment

Age and Capacity

  • I affirm that I am at least 21 years of age and legally capable of entering into this agreement.

Renter Responsibility Clause

  • If I am renting the space, I acknowledge that I am fully responsible for the actions and behavior of all attendees, staff, guests, and volunteers present during my rental period.
  • I accept liability for any damages, violations, or incidents caused by individuals I bring into the space.

Severability

  • If any provision of this agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Jurisdiction

  • This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of San Francisco, California.

Understanding and Agreement

  • I have read this agreement, understand its terms, and consent to all conditions freely and voluntarily.
  • I acknowledge that I am giving up certain legal rights, including the right to sue for ordinary negligence.

4. Acknowledgment and Agreement

By proceeding with my booking or entry to Filthy Studios, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to abide by this Code of Conduct and Liability Waiver.
