RUBY TEARS is a queers-only bloodplay party: needles, staples, scalpels, knives, oh my!
This barebones sexy and kinky party does not offer icebreakers, opening/closing circle, DJs, gogo dancers, house tops, bartenders, or care angels. This event is only open to people who are both kinky and queer.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT RUBY TEARS
Theme: red, black, and white
Crowd: queer sharps players only, attendance capped at 65 folks
Time/Date: 3pm-9pm Saturday, May 2
Frequency: one-time (but do ask Mayhem about their quarterly play party, The Neon Party)
Location: Filthy Studios, Oakland
Pricing: $25 volunteer tickets, $50 advance tickets, no door tickets sold

EVENT RULES
For blood impact:
- If combining impact with your needle scene, wrap the entire bodyparty in plastic wrap first.
- Do not combine impact with uncovered sharps: it will aerosolize the bodily fluids into the air and be grounds for removal from the event
Exposed needles:
- Do not walk around with uncapped needles
- Do not leave your scene without capping your needles
Using equipment

All equipment must be covered before play begins
- Minimum: tarp on equipment
- Better: chuck pad on top of tarp on equipment
- Equipment must be cleaned with Clorox wipes, NOT alcohol spray

Tarps

If you are bringing your own tarp, the suggested size is at least 9ft x 9ft

Tarps are NOT:
- Garbage bags
- Table cloths
- Bedsheets
- A tarp is a large sheet of strong, flexible, water-resistant or waterproof material, often cloth such as canvas or polyester coated with polyurethane, or made of plastics such as polyethylene

Sharps containers
- A limited number of sharps containers will be available for use at the venue
- Bring your own sharps container and write your name and contact info on it
- Do not dispose of any sharps anywhere other than a sharps container
Venue will provide:
- Alcohol wipes
- Gauze
- Paper towels
- Gloves
- Sharps containers

RESTRICTIONS
- No breath play or simulated breath play.
- No raceplay, scatplay, watersports, or glitter.
- Please be aware of how loud you/your scene gets. Use a gag if your scene becomes disruptive to the general noise level of the space.
- No vaping, poppers, substance use in the event space: please go outside.
- Do not lock anyone into a cage, or lock a person onto any fixed anchor. In case there is a fire or earthquake, everyone needs to be able to immediately evacuate to the sidewalk.

COVID-19 SAFETY
- Please take a rapid test on the day of the party, and write your initials and the date on the test. Take a photo of your test.
- Bring a photo of your negative test to the event for entry.
- If you are having symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or other infectious diseases, please stay home and do not come to the space until you are better.
