  • Providing clear agreed-upon expectations.
  • Creating a comfortable, fun, and friendly atmosphere for all.

  • Identifying as a company that values labor rights and using that in our decision-making.

Services we offer:

Video and photo production

We experiment with how to produce content in an era where performers are producers and adult content extends into virtual reality. We take a highly collaborative, iterative approach at all stages of production and work to ensure that what we create meets multiple needs (including social media, personal performer websites, VR experiences, etc.) On all our sets, we celebrate and affirm kinky culture.

Education and Events

We create an entry point for people to explore their sexualities, pleasures, and kinks in an environment of care, curiosity, and exploration. Past events include Filthy Unconference for Queers and Kinksters, multiple AMA’s with performers, monthly BDSM skill shares, and BDSM educational events like Love Taps Impact Play, and Photography for Riggers. Check out our list upcoming events here.

Meet Our Crew:

Fivestar, Filthy Studios Founder

Fivestar, the owner of Filthy Studios, is an experienced and respected adult film director and producer, bondage rigger, and free speech advocate located in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is passionate about increasing the diversity of representation within the adult industry both in front of and behind the camera. She produces films that affirm and celebrate a wide variety of kinky desires, which requires care and attention at all stages of production.

Fivestar thrives on bringing enthusiastic and talented people together to create films and events that facilitate free expression. She fosters a positive environment in Filthy Studios productions through open and clear dialogue with all involved regarding consent, expectations, limits, performer well-being, and fair compensation. She values feedback at all stages. Fivestar’s supportive and communicative approach generates trust and respect among industry veterans and newbies alike.

As an industry veteran herself, Fivestar knows all sides of the production process. She geeks out on the technology of filmmaking with the goal of reinforcing the power of erotic imagery to open minds and help people realize they are far from alone in their kinky desires. Fivestar also enjoys creating tutorials, speaking on production panels, and consulting with creators on how to improve their craft as a means to help passionate performers build their technical skills. Fivestar has shared her story at industry events and mainstream tech events, and has even lobbied in Sacramento and Washington, DC with the Free Speech Coalition and is a board member of the industry's health and safety organization, PASS.

Fivestar has an extensive filmography and has directed and produced countless lesbian, queer, trans, bondage, and BDSM content in traditional and virtual reality formats.

Amanda "Dusty" Wallace, Events and Social Media

Dusty (she/her) is a queer Latina born in Oakland and raised in the Bay Area. She brings big heart, big flavor, and big community energy. She got her start in the adult industry in 2012 at Kink.com, where she would eventually become the Head of Community & Education—taking pride in building inclusive spaces and creating educational programs that brought people together and sparked meaningful conversations.

At Filthy Studios, she’s our resident playlist alchemist, social media sorceress, and connection conjurer. Her kinks? Bringing people together, sparking new friendships, and crafting the perfect playlist for every mood, scene, and sexy soiree.

Deeply rooted in advocacy, Dusty stands loud and proud for sex worker rights, LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC liberation, and compassion for all creatures (adopt, don’t shop forever and always). When she’s not organizing events and curating Filthy’s social media, she’s experimenting with healthy recipes or binge-watching trash reality TV with her beloved dog daughter, Shane—AKA ChiChi.

If you follow us on social media (and if you don’t… tsk tsk!), you’ve probably seen a post designed or written by Dusty. She shares that filthy little honor with Fivestar, and together they keep the feed looking as hot and intentional as the studio itself.

She believes community is sacred in all its forms and lives for connection—whether it’s in the dungeon, the kitchen, or hanging with her mom and her most cherished friends.

Jason Michael Wyman, Coach & Culture Tender

(E / they / he) is Queerly Complex. E is a social practice artist, practicing the art of relating (to one's self, one another, and the Cosmic Mysteries.) This includes Creative Coaching for queer and non-binary artists, performers and entrepreneurs, site-specific participatory performance called Chaos Poetry, and organizational change management through Tree of Change.

It was a kink-inspired Chaos Poetry performance at a fundraiser for Madison Young that brought Fivestar and Wyman together. They both realized they shared a passion for cultivating queer, trans, non-binary, and kinky community, and Wyman's knack for helping organize creatives around their values was a talent Filthy Studios needed.

Wyman currently is a Coach & Culture Tender for Filthy Studios. In his role, Wyman aids  Fivestar and the Filthy team in growing in ways that further its mission of promoting diverse sexual expression and kinky media through film production, BDSM workshops and industry events, and advocacy for the adult industry.

Ota Kinbaku, Educator/Production Support

Meet Ota Kinbaku, a dynamic photographer and rope artisan hailing from the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area. Ota's journey into the world of Japanese rope bondage began as an exploration of its captivating aesthetics. In 2015, Ota embarked on a transformative adventure, taking lessons in Japan alongside luminaries like Naka Akira and other esteemed bakushi. This immersive experience unveiled the spiritual essence of rope, unveiling its diverse array of styles.

Fast forward to today, Shibari has become Ota's profound means of cultivating empathy and embracing the art of being present in the moment.

Polly Bombshell, Educator/Production Support

Polly Bombshell  is a Latinx dominatrix, Daddy, Mistress, and sex worker rights advocate based in San Francisco. Polly was raised in the SF leather community and has a combined 18 years of experience as an educator and high-fetish Domina. She is a heavy player with a penchant for D/s and sadism, who loves to teach new sex workers and performers how to navigate both on their own. When she isn’t traveling, bartending, or hustling, Polly is a fixture at Filthy Studios and various gay leather events in San Francisco. She loves helping Fivestar and the Filthy team to destroy the barriers of censorship, ableism, fatphobia, and discrimination in the adult industry.
